Key statistics for Serie A
What you need to know before betting on Italian football is that it has changed its vision in recent years. After having long been defensive and tactical, the league seems to turn now towards an attacking football and attacks on all sides. With teams such as Juventus, Roma, Naples and Lazio, Serie A has notably reached the average of 2.95 goals per game last season, the highest in Europe. This is due in particular to world-class scorers - Dzeko, Higuain, Dybala, Belotti and even Mertens - and the openess of the competition. Apart from Juventus, everyone can beat anyone!
What you should know before betting on Serie A
Being an expert, or at least wagering on reliable selections and without too much risk, we must first of all know that Serie A is one of the most open championships in the world beyond the Top 3. As already said, if Juventus and the duo Naples and Roma seem to be above the lot, in the other matches everyone has a say every weekend.
Beyond that, football in Italy is also rich in suspense.
Last but not least, the bets on strikers, such as those on "Both teams score" will be preferred, as the scenario took place in more than 60% of the games during the last season. You know what you need to succeed in your bets.
General presentation of the Serie A
The Serie A is played every season by 20 teams, all of whom dream of finishing Italian champions. Each team has 38 games during the season, with the best seats available. At the end of the calendar, in May, the team that finishes first takes the title, the second qualifies directly into the Champions League and the third obtains the right to play in the playoffs. Still at the top of the table, the 4th and 5th qualify for the Europa League, the same for the winner of the Cup of Italy. Finally, at the bottom of the table, the last three are relegated to Serie B, as was the case for Pescara, Palermo and Empoli last year.
Juventus was the Italian champions for the sixth time in a row on top of AS Roma and Naples podium finishes. This season, Gianluigi Buffon and his teammates should still win the championship , as they appear to be above the batch. Napoli, who have retained their executives, and Roma who have renewed in depth during the summer of 2017 should also continue to fight for the podium. We will also have an attentive eye on the two clubs of Milan, in the midst of reconstruction and who always aim to find the summits. The evolution of Lazio and Fiorentina will also be interesting.
